This wonderful series of 33 layered Damascus VG10 steel from Sakai Takayuki has superior edge retention, sharpness and is stain resistant. The Nakiri knife is hand hammered for extra strength and each knife is hand sharpened and has a mahogany handle.

Nakiri is Japanese for vegetable chopper. The Nakiri blade shape is traditional for Japanese vegetable knives and is mostly used for cutting all kinds of vegetables. In spite of its hatchet shape, this knife is not suitable for dissecting bones.
