Sakai Takayuki

Sakai Takayuki 33 layer paring knife 150mm (5.9") #7391

Sakai Takayuki 33 layer paring knife 150mm (5.9") #7391

This is a 15cm / 5.9 inch Petty knife, a Japanese version of a Paring knife, with a slightly more pronounced heel. Suitable for cleaning, pealing and cutting vegetables and fruit. The stunning  blade is made from 33 layers of Damascus steel hammered by hand around a VG10 core to create a knife with superior edge retention and sharpness.

Every Saki Takayuki knife is hand sharpened both sides, so it's razor sharp straight out-of-the-box. The handle is made of Spanish Mahogany, which looks great with the Damascus hammered blade. It's impregnated with an epoxy resin to add strength and make it water resistant.
